How's Your Summer Going?
Are you and your horse getting the most out of summer ?

We've sure had some chaotic weather in Colorado. First, we had what seemed like an eternal winter. Now, we're on to the Neverending Story that is rain and hail. There isn't too much complaining coming from our house though; Colorado (and most of the West!) has been in a severe drought for a while now. We definitely need this moisture. However, it can get a little frustrating sometimes, especially when you want to be outside hanging out with your horse pal. We get it! But, just think of the luscious hay we're going to have soon! Aside from feeding and brushing near-constant mud off your horse, there are still things you can do to keep your feet dry and in the horse world. So maybe you can't ride indoors...there are so many other things to do to prepare for when the weather clears and you can finally hit the trails. Have you ever thought about braiding up your own pair of tie cords or a flat set of cotton hobbles? You could clean and repair your tack. Maybe you've been needing to replace a set of saddle strings. Or you could tune in to your favorite trainer's video series. Let us know what you've been doing to beat the rainy-day frustrations. We sure enjoyed meeting and chatting with so many of you at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo this year. What a fun time that was! We mentioned then that we would be starting a video subscription series. We're excited to say that we are about to launch it soon. Topics will not be limited to just riding; there will also be help for some of the things like those mentioned above. We know that many of you are at varying levels with your horse knowledge and experience. Hopefully, there will be something for everyone. If we miss a question or topic, one that you'd really like to see covered, please reach out and we will try to get it in the lineup. We're so excited to be on this journey with all of you. We appreciate you all and look forward to seeing you down the road somewhere soon! Ride safe, Mike

Congratulations to the Greeley Hat Works drawing winner, Collin Sphar! We hope you enjoy your hat and the Hattitude experience. Everyone else, go visit Trent and the crew and tell them we sent you (and use code mike1-10). Every hat has a story...find yours!

Have you checked out our 2023 clinic schedule? We just had a blast with Front Range Back Country Horsemen. We'll also be having several lesson days at our place. If you don't see a clinic in your area, reach out and let us know. We'd be happy to work with you to set one up there. Don't forget to ask about the benefits of hosting a Mike Brashear Horsemanship clinic!
